The Food Truck Fair was a total bust today. This event wasn’t planned out well. They had maybe 12 trucks for a few thousand people. Lines were 45 minutes to an hour long. After waiting in line for almost a half an hour, the truck we had selected, ran out of food. This was only 2 hours into a 5 hour event.

There was no place to sit, no tables to eat at and no shade. My nemesis the cupcake truck wasn’t even there.

We left without sampling anything. We found a restaurant and had wild rice burgers and sweet potato fries.

I had given myself permission to consume a cupcake, so we went to a cute little bakery. I had a Mexican hot chocolate cake. Flavored with cayenne and cinnamon. It was delicious.

We’re going to count that as carb loading for my 16 mile run tomorrow morning. I worked all weekend, so I had to move my long run to Monday.
