I Will Run For Food

Chicago Marathon: Week 3, Day 3

The air was thick, and stagnant. I felt like it was wrapped around me like a snuggie my whole run. I was breathing, but I felt like I wasn’t getting any oxygen. I wanted to quit multiple times, but I went to that place where you switch off your mind, and your body just keeps going on autopilot until it’s over.

I haven’t seen an 11:00 mile in a long time. I just couldn’t make myself move any faster.
